Today, the farm spans over 700 acres and continues to thrive as a symbol of the family’s agricultural heritage.

In 1968, the family expanded into the automotive equipment sector with the founding of Kessler Equipment Company by Jake Kessler. As a trusted light-duty Rotary distributor, the company serves clients throughout Michigan, offering comprehensive solutions for turnkey projects. Some of their major clients include Consumers Energy, one of Michigan’s largest energy providers, and Garber Management Group, which operates 24 dealerships. In addition to their light duty line, Kessler’s maintains a strong presence in the heavy-duty market. They specialize in the repair and maintenance of inground lifts. They serve a broad range of customers including MDOT’s, Road Commissions, and Transit agencies. They frequently handle the construction and installation of heavy-duty projects, including past projects for other Stertil-Koni distributors. With a dedicated team of 11 employees, Kessler Equipment Company is known for its deep industry expertise and exceptional customer service.

In 2025, Kessler Equipment Company proudly became the exclusive Stertil-Koni Distributor in Michigan, which adds to our commitment to the heavy-duty side of our business.

The Kessler family’s business portfolio also includes NJ Corporation, a reputable trucking company, and Kessler Auto, a fully licensed automotive repair facility, further diversifying their capabilities and services.
